Care's community development and education program has been operating since the late 1980s. The focus on our community education program is to provide people with information, awareness and practical tools on a range of money management topics such as budgeting, managing credit, dealing with debt and understanding consumer rights and responsibilities. Our community education program, provides the following support:

We provide the Energy Support Voucher Program in conjunction with the ACT Government and ActewAGL. The program is designed to help anyone experiencing energy stress as well as empower individuals to take control of their energy needs. Click here for more details.

Care's Community Development and Education team can deliver a range of workshops and training to meet individual and organisational needs. Our community education team include:
Vicki (Community Education Program Co-Ordinator): I have been working at Care for over 9 years. What I love most about my job is the diversity of people who we connect with through our education program.
Aoife (Financial Capability Worker): I have been working at Care for just over 4 years. What I love most about my job is joining people on their financial journey.
Nailah (Community Education Officer): I joined Care in March and I love the flexibility of our programs to reach people face-to-face or online.
Mrad (Services Engagement and Promotions Officer): I have worked at Care since February and joined the CDE team 6 months ago. My favourite part about my role is engaging with great people from across the community sector.
