Care Consumer Law - Supervising Solicitor
Title: Supervising Solicitor
Classification: Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award 2010 Level 7.3 - 8.1 ($124,000 - $129,200) depending on experience (plus leave loading)
Employment Status: Permanent Full-Time
Position description:
Working under the direction of the Centre’s Principal Solicitor, the Supervising Solicitor will mainly be responsible for managing and supervising the Centre’s legal clinics including providing guidance and support to volunteer solicitors from our pro bono partners to ensure legal advice and casework services are provided in accordance with the Risk Management Guide and the Centre’s policies and procedures.
Subject to continued funding, this role will also involve duty lawyer and civil litigation at the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the ACT Magistrates Court.
The position requires admission as a Legal Practitioner in the ACT and holding or being eligible to hold an Unrestricted Practising Certificate (UPC) issued by the ACT Law Society.

Care Consumer Law - Social Worker
Title: Social Worker
Classification: Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award 2010 Level 6.1 - 6.3 ($110,100 - $115,000) depending on experience (plus leave loading)
Employment Status: Permanent Full-Time (part time 4 days will be considered)
Position description:
The position requires professional qualification in social work, professional registration or eligibility for registration with Australian Association of Social Workers. The social worker works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide discrete support and case management services to clients seeking advice, information and support in relation to the benefits under the Motor Accident Injuries (MAI) Scheme.
The position also provides support to the Centre’s clients in other programs who may be facing a high degree of vulnerability and have significant barriers to achieving a successful resolution of their legal matter including clients experiencing domestic and family violence, mental ill health or living with disability.
