Care Community Education 

Care's community education program has been operating since the

late 1980s. The focus of our community education program is to

provide people with information, awareness and practical tools on

a range of money management topics such as budgeting,

managing credit, dealing with debt and understanding

consumer rights and responsibilities. 

We are also available to attend expos, community

days or run group sessions at venues and services

across Canberra.

Workshops

Our workshops are designed to empower individuals so they are in the driver's seat when it comes to their financial and consumer literacy. We also provide training for organisations on a range of topcis. 

Financial capability 

We can provide individual financial capability coaching appointments tailored to suit your needs. 

Energy support voucher 

We provide the Energy Support Voucher Program in conjunction with the ACT Government and ActewAGL to empower individuals to take control of their energy needs. 

Work development program

Do you have fines?  We run a Budgeting for Life for the Work or Development Program.

Meet the community education team

Care's Community Development and Education team can deliver a range of workshops and training to meet individual and organisational needs. Our community education team include: 

Vicki (Community Education Program Co-Ordinator): I have been working at Care for over 9 years. What I love most about my job is the diversity of people who we connect with through our education program. 

Aoife (Financial Capability Worker): I have been working at Care for just over 4 years. What I love most about my job is joining people on their financial journey. 

Nailah (Community Education Officer): I joined Care in March and I love the flexibility of our programs to reach people face-to-face or online. 

Mrad (Services Engagement and Promotions Officer): I have worked at Care since February and joined the CDE team 6 months ago. My favourite part about my role is engaging with great people from across the community sector
