Information barriers, privacy and complaints
For the Consumer Law Centre to meet and maintain its accreditation requirements, it operates strict information barriers with the rest of Care Inc. services.
The Consumer Law Centre does not share client information with the Care Financial Counselling Team or No Interest Loan Scheme. The Consumer Law Centre has separate staff, offices, databases and information security processes. Clients can be referred from one service to the other and information can be shared with the consent of the client.
The Consumer Law Centre of the ACT is committed to ensuring that any person or organisation using the CLC services can have their concerns addressed in ways that ensure access and equity, fairness, accountability and transparency.
