Have you been impacted and left a domestic or family violence situation?

The Assistance Beyond Crisis (ABC) loan program offers no interest loans for people who have experienced and left a domestic or family violence situation. The loans provide immediate financial assistance where no other options are available, and can include finance for:

  • Legal costs

  • Household goods/white goods

  • Vehicle related costs

  • Childcare/education costs

  • Housing related costs

  • Medical/dental expenses

  • Electrical/electronic items

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible for the program, you must:

  • Have experienced and left a domestic or family violence situation

  • Live or work in the ACT or surrounding NSW region

  • Have a moderate income (approximately $50,000 - $100,000 per annum)

How much can you borrow?

You can apply to borrow up to $5,000, with a maximum loan term of 3 years. However this will be determined on your capacity to repay the loan. If the item(s) you wish to purchase or the service(s) you require cost more than $5,000 you are required to contribute your own funds to make up the difference.
