Care provides a range of information and financial counselling services and has a Community Development and Education program. The Consumer Law Centre of the ACT and the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) are auspiced by Care. The following provides a brief description of the services as well as links to more detailed information.

Care's Community Development and Education Program provides information and education about Care's work and about financial counselling topics - things like how to deal with debts, budgeting, stress and money, living on a low income and lots of other topics. The program runs workshops for low income consumers, community groups and workers who work with Care's client group. To find out more, contact the Coordinator.
We learn a lot from our clients about systemic problems faced by low income and vulnerable clients and consumers. When given permission, we can use this information when talking to government and industry to change laws that may not be working and make the market a fairer place for everyone.
