Care's Mission Statement

To ensure low income and vulnerable consumers are treated fairly and to support them to overcome debt.

Who is Care?

Care is a community organisation set up to help people on a low to moderate income who are experiencing financial difficulties. We are an independent organisation with a Board of Management.

Who funds Care?

• ACT Department of Disability, Housing and Community Services via the Community Services Program
• Commonwealth Department of Family and Community Services via the Commonwealth Financial Counselling Program
• NSW Department of Fair Trading via the Financial Counselling Trust Fund
• Housing ACT provides funding for the Housing Financial Counselling Service
• ACT Department of Justice and Community Safety provides funding for the Consumer Law Centre
